August 2026 Newsletter
At the end of July into early August, my husband and I were able to get away for a little vacation, exploring the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. The weather was perfect though some days were a little smoky from fires in neighboring areas. We saw so many beautiful sights and were able to see quiet a few different animals. For my birthday, we did a strenuous hike in the Jedidiah Smith Wilderness up to Table Mountain at 11,000 ft of elevation! Wildflowers bloomed in every little meadow we saw; it was just gorgeous. When I get a little more time, I plan to paint some of the amazing scenes we saw.
With the Fall Festival season approaching, I’ve been busy finishing up illustrations for the upcoming release of my coloring book as well as building inventory of hand-painted bookmarks and ornaments.
A few examples of bookmarks that will be for sale at upcoming markets.
The fall season is a great time for markets as people begin to think about holiday gifts for loved ones. We’ll be kicking off the season with Artivál in El Cajon on September 12th, which, this year, combines with the annual Alley Cat Art Walk. Pacific Beachfest takes over the boardwalk in Pacific Beach on October 3rd, promising to be a beautiful day of fun in sun, music, food, and of course, local vendors. On October 10th, we celebrate women-owned businesses at Santee Lakes for their 10th Ladies at the Lake Fall Market. Moving into November, the Carlsbad Village Street Faire on November 1st and the Encinitas Holiday Street Fair on November 22nd are sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit. With that in mind, I have some new holiday-themed greeting cards coming out like the one below. Available cards have also be added to my website.
Seagull Carolers Christmas Card, coming soon.
On the horizon - the release of my coloring book is right on schedule for early October, so keep your eyes out!
