The finescale triggerfish lives in the eastern pacific along the California coast, clear down to the waters off Chile. Not only is this an interesting looking fish, but it has a unique swimming style called balistiform locomotion. They undulate their dorsal and anal fins synchronously. They can swim forward and backward, and hold hover. They can be aggressive and territorial though, so be sure to give these guys plenty of room.
